Wow, thats a beautiful texas. I also have a green texas, mine isnt nearly as mature yet. He sat in the lfs for MONTHS, no one took him, he would wag his tail at me when I stopped in, seemed very pleasant and outgoing, so I broke down and went and got him his own 30 gallon (for now) and bought him. 2 weeks after I got him he got a major parasite infestation. He had something lay eggs inside his face and it got huge and the eggs hatched and started eating his flesh!!!! I took a chance and did a major salt treatment and fed super quality foods and did excessive water changes etc and it took about 3 months but he finally healed up. The morning after I added the salt the bottom of the tank was sprinkled with dead worm bodies. It was unreal. Sorry for the long post, but my texas is my special guy after I got him healthy again. I was actually considering euthanizing him. It was bad, but he always ate and swam, that kept me hopeful. I have a soft spot for gorgeous texans now.
