Hi, 1st time on this forum and i have to admit thats awsome but back to the issue at hand, i've had texas chiclids for 10-12 years and at this moment the pair that i have in my 150gl are the most dominent bullying fish in it,i can say that i have not had a proplem with this species, i feed these guys a variety of foods from live to pellets they will take flake but seem to make a big mess of things but if yours is not eating then it most likely has some sort of parasite or internal problem and just needs some time to work it out, using meds will most likely hurt your pictus so put it into another tank before treating.Hopfully it will stay with the texas and not pass it on to the others but texas chiclids are very hardy fish and soon enough yours will start showing signs of getting better,
