keep them with the parents until they are big enough to move to a tank of their own, around 1.5 cm is a safe size to move them in my experience. i reckon feeding crushed flake is the best way to go for fry, or even baby brine shrimp. hope this helps, let us know how it goes
Thanks a lot...will keep all of ya posted on it.......also can i feed them crushed tetra bits or any other pellet food....

They look great... congrats. :D

These texas did something I didn't expect. The eggs had been laid right up against the front glass of the tank and everyone in my family was always taking turns looking at them. So these guys dug up a new site and moved the eggs to the back of the tank.

Anyway, today the eggs hatched and there are little wigglers all over the back side. I'll post the pics soon.

they should be on their yolk sack for a few days... then.. from what i have experienced the parents have gotten pellets crush them in their mouth then spit it out for the fry.. or if you decide to remove them. crush up pellets of flakes... and well you get the picture... great spwan btw

thanks, thats just 1/4th of the fry in the pic. the rest I've separated. they're eating crushed flakes.

thanks for your reply.

Nice pick up! Keep the parents with the eggs and when they hatch, they should still be good with the parents. But you could move them when they get about 1/4" and give them their own tank to grow out in.
