New texas!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, I was watching the aggression in my tank with this guy, and it didn't really seem that bad. He was picking on my snook a little, but the snook seemed fine. He was alright when I left for work this morning, and ate when I fed last night.

I just got home from work, and the snook is dead. He was one of my favorite fish ever, and has awesome coloring. He was 11" long, actually longer than the texas, he just wasn't as beefy.

I'm getting rid of the texas now. I can't keep a fish that killed off one of my other favorite fish. Does anybody want him? I'll get rid of him cheap, or else he's going to the fish store for store credit...

Sucks about your Snook. If your selling the Tex, sell it as a Carpintis though..

It's a nice looking fish and I love your other fish as well they all look good! I do not believe that is a pure blood Tex though bro. It has a reddish under lay and that markings there do not look quite right. Just my opinion and observation not a big deal as again it is a nice looking fish. If I had to guess I would say Tex flowerhorn mix of some sort:)

Sucks to hear! I just picked up a Chancho to add to the Jag & Loisellei. I had to take him out in less than 24hrs. He tore up every fish in the tank.

You should have seen how much red he had on him the day before yesterday, when he was really worked up over the snook. His fins turn bright red, and he gets a deep red band under the blue scales right up the middle of his body behind the operculum.

Yah, he really only hurt the snook. He's pushing around my venezuelan pike now, so he definitely has to go. If she's dead when I get home, then he's going to be tossed live onto the grill... Fortunately he's not bothering my freddie yet.

We'll work something out. He's hanging out in a 20L by himself.
If you want, we can meet up at Main Street Pets and turn him in unless you were wanting to go somewhere else.
