Any clue how much to ship to Va Beach ?

shipping usually runs about 40$ if you're far away. Sometimes it's only 20$...

Dont mean to jack the thread either, but I can tell you That Any expensive Fish that isnt almost the size of this cat may end up as a gormet meal...Not necessarily agression, but just hungry with a big mouth...
They'l eat quite a variety of things, And parasites- You have a quarantine tank with no gravel, that you could medicate for common wild diseases (check with Local Fish and GAme) fish louse, finworms, ???
They can handle a range of water params, and generally easy to keep. But cleanup-A big cat swiming around on the bottom could stirr up Shstuff if you dont have good flow.

Yes I agree with Fisharnekked!

Bullhead cats are not aggressive in the sense that they will go beat up on other fish. But naturally, if it can fit in his mouth it will be gone soon. I would recommend anyone keeping Bullhead Catfish to have a tank either 100 Gallons or bigger and also it is best to keep them with "Native Fish".

I dont advise anyone to keep Bullhead Catfish with precious tropical fish because they will end up having them as a meal at some point or another.

Most North American Native fish in the Catfish family tend to grow very quickly.

I made a common mistake buying a Channel Catfish and I am housing him in a 75 Gallon. I got him at 4 inches and he's almost at 11 inches 10 months later.

I am pretty sure people who keep Channel Cats know that they grow very fast. Luckily for me, I know any Aquarium store in Long Island that is willing to throw him in a giant pond when I can no longer care for him anymore.

Anyone with 100 gallons or smaller I would suggest Madtom Catfishes.

Oh yeah they grow upto like 18 inches or something like that.

This is my 2 cents regarding Catfishes.:screwy:

Thanks.
Any wild-caught fish should be placed in a Q tank and treated with various types of medications. I generally treat them with salts for a few days, then observe them afterwards. Any further problems, I use the proper medication. This is also a reason why fish kept in tanks shouldn't be released into the wild, if it has any type of disease, it can end up in the lake you put it in.

Still trying to give him away. This bullhead was wild caught at 1/2" and raised to this size by me...don't miss out!

I'm in Central Jersey if you want to pick it up, but will soon be in San Diego if anybody wants him in that area. I go to Brooklyn and Northern Jersey every weekend, so that is an option as well.

I can ship at the buyers expense...

Some pics: (not so great, but you get the idea)

It is illegal to catch these fish and sell them live

People sell natives all the time. I'm not catching hundreds for commercial sale. I have some licenses, but I'll consider what you said and look back at some laws.
