I am new to this fish Tigrinis, I got it for a fathers day present. It is about 6.5 inches eye ball. I have two large clown loaches (7 inches) and P75 and P14 Plecos 6 inches in the tank. What do I need to feed this guy? 180 gallons, I have lots of driftwood hiding places as well. Temp is at 80-82F. Water parameters all within range. Thank you!

Awesome fish. Gets real big (30 Inch) Can be hard to get and pricey. Also can be hard to get off live feeders. I would try Massivore or frozen krill/silversides. Post a pic of him as there are false tigs too (p. Jurenses)

That's a great father's day gift!

Welcome to the Tig club. You will enjoy watching him grow, and seeing his stripes change. I found mine easy to get off of live. He ate tilapia first try. You will find tons of information if you use the search feature of this web site.

Thank you all. The Tigrinis is just swimming in one spot forever! Is that normal? I just put him in today, he is hiding I guess. I will post pics when he comes out...

It's normal.

Ok been a few days, I have put frozen cut tilapia, blood worms, and meal worms, have not seen the tig eat. Stays in one spot during the day, looks like it is always swimming but in one spot. I guess it fought with one of the plecos, and now one long wisker is bent. I feel sorry for him or her.... what should I do? Again water parameters and temp is perfect.

I would put it in a smaller tank by itself until you get it eating and fattened up.
