New Titanium Flowerhorn

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just got him about 2 weeks ago and he did have Kok. It was a little smaller because of the stress of being shipped, but after 2 days it was fine.

Julie in California from Flowerhornsfrombeyond. She is good with reshipping and caring for fish. I bought from Rainybetta on Aquabid. He also packages fish well and has good quality water.

Shipping I think was like $75
OK, So,...
when a transhipper is used,
the exporter, after being funded for the specimen, exports the animal to the "transhipper".
I am assuming that the exporter has collected the shipping charges from the "buyer"?

Then, ships the animal, to a stateside person (the transhipper), who in turn reships it, using a domestic rate...

As far as I can tell,
the transhipper,
would have to receive a bulk order from the exporter, at an Airport to Airport rate.
Then, repackage the animals, and overnight/2-day ship them to their final destination.
When and How, do you get a price quote for the First part of the journey, and then from the transhipper to your front door?

Seems like alot of "changing hands" and alot of places for errors to occur.
Then who is responsible for the domestic shipment payment?,

Does the buyer pay the exporter,
then the exporter in turn, pays the transhipper?

Whats in it for the transhipper?
They don't just do it for nothing...

And why doesn't the exporter just Airport to Airport directly to the buyers' closest terminal?

Seems to me, the savings that the exporter generates, shipping in bulk to a transhipper, would get eaten up by the charges for the transhipper to do his thing here staeside, and the cost is no doubt coming off the top from the end user/fishkeeper/buyer/me...:irked:

Of course, I probably have overlooked something somewhere, so please,
anybody that has bought from an exporter via a transhipper, be so kind as to enlighten me on the etiquette of this type of purchase...Thanks ~BenO

Shipping charges from Transhipper in Thailand to Transhipper in U.S. is free to buyer. You pick up charge from U.S. Transhipper when shipped to your address, which is usually standard shipping charges + a few more dollars for materials.. reboxing... holding for a day or two in U.S.Transhipper tank etc. If you live in California it's beneficial because of less traveling. If you live near a Transhipper then you can minimize expenses and just pick up fish at location.

Also, www.flowerhorn4jersey.com has one or two. His name is Tuan. On MFK his name is gotkok. Check his sight out. Great to work with.
