New to arowanas and need help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What are the dimensions of your tank? This isn't your "L" shaped tank is it? Which would be way too narrow to support a large arowana.

Yes it will be the tank itself is 24 wide. From most forums I've read they stated 18" is the bare minimum, 24 is still too small ?
Here's a video of my tank

I think a silver Arowana will do great in that tank( - the cichlid) . They can turn in a narrow tank easily. The others aro are not that flexible. that is a sick looking tank you got there, I think my 29 aro would do great on that tank but I always want the best for my Aro so I got him a 48 wide tank.

Thanks 😊 I built myself, best I could do on a college student budget haha cost me less than 1200$ for the whole setup!
I'm currently trying to get rid of the cichlids, I want to practice so one day I'll get my asian aro (I live in canada)

My dream tank is a 670 gallon, 120x48x30 with leopoldi rays and a few asian arowana
