new to the big fish seen. i have recently purchased 1 gray bichir, 2 black fin sharks, rtcxtsn hybrid, emerald cory cats, and a blue lobster for my 125 gallon tank, after much reading i am leaning to giving my hybrid away. what are some suggestions on other catfish for my tank.

my rtcxtsn is about 1.5-2" long and i have had him for 5 days. i put him in with my small fish ranging in size up to 4" and he has already ate my flag fish babies and my guppy babies(wife is going to kill me when she finds out he ate her fish).

thanks

you have already been welcomed to monster fish keeping by the cat
but then again welcome to MFK
check with planetcatfish.com
there you can find cats according to their sizes

not sure what to look for on planetcatfish there is alot of fish on there. i am thinking about getting a zebra shovelnose, put in the order today. i want something bright and interesting to look at.

i figured more people would have replied by now

Can you please post pictures of the Birchir and Shark as those names you provided mean nothing.
Your 'Zebra Shovelnose' is actually a Tigrinus which is a sought after, expensive fish that needs a MUCH bigger tank then a 125G.

Your asking for problems with that mix... one thing being that Zebras will eat your other fish, second that it needs lots of current.. which doesn't work well with some of it's tank mates... that crayfish will end up across the tank in no time LOL... Might I suggest Pictus instead as I think thats the look and size that your comfortable with.

Welcome to MFK BTW :D

wow the difference in subject matter on size is great. i have read that the zebras will get around 20" and so will my black fin sharks my gray bichir (dinosaur eel) should get about 12" as for the cory cats they will be removed as soon as the others get big enough to eat them. as for price i get red tails for 10.00, the hybrids for 7.00, tsn for 14.00, and lima shovel nose for 8.00, i was told by the same guy the zebra will be less then 30 and i will have it tuesday. he also has high fin bended sharks for 9.00. my blue lobster i paid 7.00 for and my black fin sharks i paid 2.98. from what i have seen those are good prices.
