LMFAO, your 'Dinosuar Eeel' in a Senegal Birchir. If you can get a Tigrinus for 30 bucks, you must be bribing someone as most go for 3 figure sums. If by Black Finned sharks you mean Chinese Hi Fin Shark (has many different names but this is a common one), they are a coldwater fish and grow a bit bigger then this guy here. Roughly 3 feet. 2nd and 3rd Pic's are of a tank at a Public Aquarium in China or India with Sturgeon and Chinese Hi Fin Sharks.

ok no flaming i do not have alot of fish i am asking about them. the columbian shark is what i have did anyone see the pics. i see them when i look at the post.. all well. i have a friend wanting my hybrid so he may be going to a 240 gallon and i am going to get something smaller that is why i was looking at the zebras and the guy has the banded high fin sharks like in the other pics.. he told me they would only get abot 12" long i went home and looked them up and they get alot bigger then 12" i am going to try to post more pics.

Your pics didnt show for me, but my pictures explain the length of a CHF good enough. If you ask me, the guy is just trying to make a quick buck off you. Cheers to you for doing your research.

Yeah your pics aren't coming up for the rest of us... Ok ... Step one.. cycle your filter... otherwise these fish arn't going to make it long enough to see their potential sizes...that hybrid is not going to do well in a 240 for life so just make sure you let your friend know that... Your 125 might seem large... but once you add a few fish in there is really isn't all THAT big ... it's a good start though and you'll be ok for those columbians and the cories and even your crayfish... which is going to make a snack out of some or all of those cories most likely. Like I said ... stick with something like a pictus, it's small, fast and fun to watch. Take your time in trying to find fish for your tank... you'll have about 4 -6 weeks for it to cycle anyway

for filtration i have a rianbow sand filter 300p, and getting the rena xp3. and i am pushing the cycling on by taking the rocks and water out of my 55 that has been up for a few months.

i think the price is so low from south of the boarder glovebox if you know what i mean.

No you didn't LOL

Ok.. so your putting these fish in ... what? is it just me or does anyone else get that "OMG THESE POOR FISH" feeling?

:iagree:, but lets not bash the :newbie: for getting incompatible :tropicalf. If we :help2: him out he will learn more and be :) in the end. BUMP because you need :feedback:.

thanks,

anyways almost done with my custom stand for my 125. my dinosaur eel and columbian sharks are doing great in it my hybrid is still in the 55 with my emerald cory cats. he is eating red worms from my hand but stays behind the power head all day but i see him in the mourning swimming on the bottom with the cory cats hopefully my zebra shovelnose is in tommorrow.

for those who are consered i am looking into building a plywood tank. i will be asking advice for the build . i am thinking of doing a 4x4x8. i really like the one with the guy scuba diving in it, wish i had the room.

got my xp3 last night from petsmart. paid alot for it filter cost more then my tank i paid 150 for the tank and 168 for the filter. but have conveince of taking it back to store if something goes wrong.

We need to see pics of the Zebra as I haven't seen one for sale for less than $125, a few years back they would have been much more like $500-$1500
