so you're assuming the water quality is fine? If it were me I'd check into that as well... I guess at this point you're gonna have to ride it out and see if they come around. Salt and elevated temperature should cure the ich within a week or so...

Do they show signs of labored breathing?

No, I checked it with a test kit; nitrates are under 10 ppm, and nitrites and ammonia are at 0 ppm. I've already added salt and kept the temperature in the mid-80's for the ich, so I'm good in that department.

They seem to be breathing fine. They only seem to have labored breathing if they get scared and dart; they're breathing fine otherwise.

That's good at least. Do you have some cover for them in the tank? The aro isn't stressing them is it? When I have small bass I usually put lots of wood and fake plants to give them cover so they won't feel as vulnerable.
If you got all those bases covered I'd just keep on with how you have it and I'm hopeful they start acting normal

The arowana stays at the top of the aquarium and doesn't bother them. I have three decent sized fake plants in there with them; they usually take shelter in those plants or amongst the various indentations in the gravel. Do you think that I should add more plants?

Does you cichla swim on their sides and sink?

i hope they get back to normal and my 200th post

Were they always swimming like that or did it happen recently? You got pictures?
