New to cichlids

I had yellow lab, strped auratus, red zebra, and a yellow and blue one not sure what kind. The red zebra became territorial and killed the yellow and strped now i onle have 2

I have had the same experience with my red zebras. They have been really aggressive and have killed many of my more peaceful fish! I'm hoping to find some solutions for that...I read an article about how lighting can possibly affect the aggression in fish who communicate through color. I might toy with that to help curb my red zebra aggression!
