:duh:

and this is why lfs suck...
they def will sell to anyone if you have money.

Hi
Welcome to MFK! You have a beautiful tank there. I think it has plenty of space for your ray. I love stingrays and have some myself. They're addicting and expensive!
do you really think it has plenty of space? your an idiot.

55 gallon is enough for a baby, the most important thing now is to keep the water pristine! No nitrit, ammonia, nitrat below 50 and ph around 6-8. Nice ray! You will have to upgrade within the next half year, if not even faster.. I had 2 hystrix pups in a 60 gallon for a few months, but moved them to a 180 gallon now since i got a little worried about the waterstability in sucha small tank.. I also have autodryp on my 180 gallon.

Read the stickies as said above, they are VERY helpfull.. I think i read them 100 times before i aquired my first ray, and has not yet lost one single ray.

wow wish it was that easy for us to get rays in aus :( well im new to rays as well, and 1 thing for sure few months if that and ur guna need a BIG tank im going from 150 gal to 350 or 400 undecided yet

Wow really a few months I was told a year or two. Ok that's no prob. What is a stickie

It's an important thread that has been made permanent. The reason I don't own a ray is because I wouldn't house it in anything less than 30" wide and that's just for the smaller species. Some do less, but I'd prefer to have plenty of floor space. I would suggest getting everything in order now for that big tank, as that ray will grow fast. Good luck! :)

That's what most pet stores will tell you to make a sale.. They grow pretty quick..
Welcome to MFK by the way.. Make sure you cruise through the Stingray section and read up on all the stickies, they will help a bunch.. You will learn a lot just from reading everyone elses issues.

Like said above that 55 is too small and you will have to upgrade for sure. What filtration are you running right now ?? Rays will need a bunch being they are huge eaters and create lots of waste.
