if you have hiding places or drift wood you will never see them until they get big

i just put a bit of drift wood in my tank and they all started fighting over it so i took it back out and they are fine again

Isn't it funny how they will do that.

I have drift wood, but small flat pieces for plec and catfish. This way the tigers are too big to hide.

Keaser, If you can't add any more tigers, add archers or dollars, both great companions with tigers, or CL as others have advised. As long as the dominant one is not constantly attacking the others , it should be ok.

tinfoil barbs all the way :D

the reason i also had drift wood was for a pleco but plecos crap sooooo much so i sold the pleco and dumped the drift wood

Well I went looking for some CL yesterday and all my LFS were closed and petco was out and petsmart wanted 8.99 a piece for 1" CL!! The good news is I got them around 30 small mollies to eat and the agression has calmed down quite a bit and now I see all 3 fish swimming all around the tank. They do hide alot but they seem to hide where they feel safe and can still look at me. these little guys have awesome personality i can tell already because they will watch everything I do if I get near the tank.

What happens when the live food runs out. They'll go into hiding again and the bully will remain.
Keep searching for the dithering fish people have mentioned.

Yes you could try dithers,it worked for me,but make sure they are big enough not to be eaten,i tried some emperor tetras which were nearly as big as the dats but one still got eaten lol,id try some large congo tetras,or if you have room to house them when they are big try tinfoils, thats what i have with my little ones.

Steve

Tinfoils ftw:headbang2

If you have the room obviously.

Steve

how fast to the tinfoils grow? i was thinking of the CL because i figured when the dats move the CL can go with them and will be something that can stay in my growout tank for as long as the dats do. (i am in the process of building a big tank to move most my fish to then the dats get moved to my 75 for growout.)
