Hi Guys,

Just bought my first Asian Arow. Was sold to me as a Gold Base Blue Crossback. Doing a bit of research I'm not 100% sure about it now and doing further reading I see there are different grades. Could anyone help to confirm or grade my arrow? The body is a lightish gold colour, has red hue on tails and diagonal patterns on top and anal fin. Roughly 12cm also the head seems a bit like it's been pushed down.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to MFK :)

That aro looks a little too small to tell. They take time to grow into their morph

Hahaha its more expensive here than on the ML.

And I thought they were illegal too idk for sure though as its just an assumption I made considering they're illegal everywhere else and everything's illegal here lol

Welcome K KArrow ! If you don't mind me asking where abouts in Aus are you? :)

Xback aka Crossback Aros come in both gold base or blue base so it can't be a a Gold based Blue Crossback, it's either one or the other. When purchasing Aros at such a young age, a lot depends on the honesty of the seller. Did it come with a certificate and if yes what does the cert say? Which farm?

The tail markings indicate a Gold Aro..whether it's a Crossback or RTG is uncertain at this stage. There is no indications of pearls and the shine isn't quite there so time will tell. You are right even Crossback there are many grades. Base color of Gold Aros can be manipulated with environment and lighting conditions.
