I guess we have different views on this and neither will likely change. I would rather educate people even if its after the fact so at least they learn for next time. not everyone will do anything about it but to me I would rather see a fish survive than let it die no matter the cause. I learned because someone told me what I did wrong. I thought I knew what I was doing and was frusterated. when a dog is neglected it hopefully gets rescued by the humain society and for fish by people who want to see the fish survive. in my mind animal cruelty should be treated the same weather its a dog or cat or monkey or a fish but fish are often overlooked. I'm no tree hugger or PITA member just looking to give a animal a fair shot at life. I rescued my Dog from Bad owners. now he has a great life and I wouldn't be happy without him.

well I have had my Alligator Gar for a week and I can't get a decent Picture for the life of me. he is in my 250G tank in my bedroom and he takes great pride in waking me up at about 6am for the last 2 days by either making a racket or splashing me. he Jumped out of the tank on saturday and when I found him his skin was dry. he was still alive so I put him back in the tank. within 2 min he was happy and went right after the feeders that he hadn't finished before I left. I wonder if he wasn't going after one and lept out of the tank. he broke the glass lid so for the last couple days its been open. I have built a lid out of 3/4" plywood to put over the tank I'm just waiting for it to dry completly and then I will install it. then I doubt I will have to fear him jumping out or waking me up by splashing me anymore. I am still trying to get pics so bear with me I will get something decent soon
