New to Knife Fish's, need some info/help..

CAE cap off at what around 4-6"? I would be worried that it would get eaten after a 6months. By 6months you'll want a larger tank. Clowns get around 48" long. They seem to grow at a rate of 3/4-1" per month. My Clown loves his driftwood cave. He seems to be very territorial towards any fish that gets close to his cave.

CAEs can be nasty lil slime coat sucking buggers.. imo not an ideal tankmate for an knife. my knives always enjoyed a planted tank tbh but a peice of pvc pipe or slate rock on an angle also seemed to be ideal for knives in general. personally i would go with ABKs as a first knife, ime they are a pretty hearty fish and take to frozen foods and even pellets ect much easier then BGKs do. stay small and in. 72 a small group would be nice if you went with a species tank.
