your tank is really small to get peacocks. you would do better getting a bigger tank or maybe looking into other stocking options. shellies would do well in a smaller tank. for mbuna, you will want a much bigger tank

disagree, there are plenty of peacocks that get no more than 5"...

you can even mix the mbuna and peacocks together... as long as you dont have any exceptionally agressive fish they will get along just fine as mine do in their 55 (120 will totally work)

125L or roughly 30 gallons would suit some of the smaller species like ones from Lake Tanganyika. Lamprologus brevis, Lamprologus multifasciatus .. just to name a couple. And depending on your tank dimensions, a few of the smaller peacocks.

My tank is 80 x 35 x 45cm. Thanks for the info guys (:

What fish may i get with those dimensions. Can i mix Tangs and Malawi's?

there are lots of differing opinions on mixing these. You need to be careful since levels of aggression can be differing. I had a small group of neolamprologus brichardis that did alright in my mbuna tank, but when i gave them to someone in a trade, they ended up killing some of his africans. you really need to go by species compatibility rather than what lake they come from.

oh, ok thanks Swede. So you mean non-aggressive neolamprologus species with non-aggressive Mbuna.

What species of Mbuna did you have for instance??

I had 1 kenyi that pretty much ruled the tank, 2 afras, 3 mainganos and a red zebra and they all were fine with the brichardi but if you ask most people, it was a disaster waiting to happen. best advice i can give you is do research before buying any africans

I research every fish i buy, which is what i'm doing now. Thanks swede and everyone for the helpful comments (:
