New to me Midas won't eat.

you would be surprised by how much sand or gravel A fish can move. SA cichlids love to excavate. and they have 24/7 to do it in.

its my guess that she/he is looking to spawn/attract a mate. this the main reason they dig. they looking to make a nice spawning bed. This the main drive of there life and dictates there actions.

and do not think a new fish in a tank will not do this right off the bat. new tank, new waters, flag down, time to get busy.

As of yesterday he still wont eat. I did a large water change and still nothing. I did notice that there are no MTS when the tank was full of them before he went in. Wiki mentions Midas eat snails in the wild, maybe mine has been eating all the MTS in the tank.

He is stubborn, haha.nice looking RD.my large hybrid goes on hunger striikes.I would try to avoid live until he takes pellets regularly
