What he said....Plus I'm not sure you can trust a wolf fish with anything, unless it is much larger. Wolffish are boring, I guarantee after a few months you'll want to go in a different direction...Unlike Snakeheads they have no personality, oh and watch youself, they can send you to the emergency room, sure the fear factor is kind of cool, but that wears off....

yeah i guess so,ive been hearing about how boring they are as well.maybe ill stick with the barracuda.how many should i have?3?what would be a good tankmate for a barracuda then, would a black ghost knife fish be ok?
im not sure about some of the more aggresive fish i was looking at anyway, including the wolf fish.my freind now tells me there may be some state laws here in california against many preditory fish...is this true?i cant even own a wolf fish in cali?

a knife fish would be fine, as long as it's too big. Yeah get 3 cudas. You won't be disappointed.

Once mine were comfortable in a big tank with plants, they were very active and coloured up. A nice gold colour with a blue/green hue, big eyes and red tails and teeth.

I know it's hard to be dissuaded from something you want, but take it from me, I'd been fascinated by wolves since I was a kid, ever since I saw a huge hoplias aimara in a LFS.

About a year ago when I got back into fish, it was a wolf fish that I had to get, this was what promted me to keep fish again.

And it was one of the most disappointing fish I've had. Compared to the snakeheads and other preds I;ve had, it was boring, no personality, inactive, just a dull aquarium fish. Like a turd with teeth.

I've heard erythrinus erythrinus are more interesting, but I have not kept one.

I have a ery. ery. and it seriously never stops moving! always begs...perks up whenever I walk in the room and is beautiful... if you get a wolf get a ery. ery. you won't be dissapointed and they will school to....
