African butterfly fish do look pretty cool. But I've heard mixed reveiws on them, like they don't move a whole lot onless its feeding time. What would I be able to put in with them that would be safe? Thanks for idea, anyone else have some more?

Yeah you could call African Butterfly Fish boring but they do occasionly glide across the sirface and sometimes they swoop down into the middle of the tank.If you didn't get an African Butterfly Fish a tank of celebes and threadfin rainbows and maybe a shoal of 6 corys would be nice!Or A peacock eel,ABF and 2 puffers might work but the puffers will be agressive to any any other fish but the eel and ABF might work.If you went for this option Pygmy/Indian Dwarf puffers would be perfect!Altough ignore their small and cute looks they are very viscous and need some snails, normally apple or mystery snails to trim their teeth!:headbang2Both the options would look really nice

i always like my african butterfly. but maybe a leaf fish?? pretty cool IMO, um lets see what i use to keep.

spiney peacock eels would be all right for a long time in a 20 long. a pair of kribs. shell dwellers, let me think some more and ill post again
