I found out they weren't tems, as Boosten Audi pointed out they are probably Monos

Don't keep SHs anymore, one jumped out of the 300 gallon (many times) and after it died the other would not eat.

this all happened years ago...

ah, didn't read the rest of the thread, but this is better anyways. mono's stay much smaller.

my pbass are all wild caught florida hybrids. You big do you think those get? I hear the hybrids are starting to flood the market

send me some!!!!

:D

no really once I have the big tank set up, I think I'll have to get someone to send me some wild caught ones. Iowa is a cool place to live, but man are we isolated from getting anything exotic. (sushi bars are just getting popular the last few years) can you say behind the times!!! :)

no problem. I already promised another member a bunch of babies. The problem is that you have to wait until spring, although I do see a few spawning now

wild floridas get really nice colors ;) they still reach lenghts of 24- 26 inches when full grown... same with monos... fish never stop growing that is why there are world records out there

oh and the hybrids in the markert arent the same as the florida guys.. they are just farm boys and most monos you buy are mixed without you even knowing it

just adding another video and figured I'd keep it in my original thread to track their growth
