NEW TO PLECOS -- MY SET-UP & SOME STOCK

I hear ya. I learned the hard way.... adding tooo many plecos in at the same time and not caring for size or type. From my limited experience i would add plecos of around the same size, have enough hiding places for all plecos, and do your research. Example, panaques should have driftwood in their diets, carnivores high protein diet, omnivores, and biofilm grazers.... all of these tend to have specific dietary needs. I have all types mixed in now but give a very varied diet to try and accomodate all plecos. If you are going to mix in plecos, you may want to stay away from pseudos/vampires. One of my medium sized pseudos killed and injured several of my small and large plecos. They got teeth once large and can cause major damage to other lesser "equipped" plecos. All others will squabble but no major injuries...... especially during feeding time! Hope this helps somewhat.

What do you think would mix well with an L200 (150 gal lots of hides) my options are move an existing L177 (I think) into that tank and get some thing different for the 75gal or leave the L177 in the 75 and add the new one to the 150.
Really like the L25/25/60 but think that they may be a bit too big. Also love L273, L75, and like the L14

Blue phantoms, l14, & l75 would be cool. You could definitely add more to your 180 than 2 pieces, especially since these plecos are medium sized.

Its actually a 150 and i have some larger growing cichlids so keeping the bioload
In check is important. My son and i are gonna do an lfs tour today and see if we can find anything we like. One lfs has some nice L273

Hey bro, I think it's doing well??.... haha! It hides in it's driftwood cave while the lights are on, the food i leave at night is gone in the motning. So it's Eating. All I can see is its tail wiggling from its hideout. I did just get a baby red titanicus l273 last night. I put it in with the LDA105. I will post pics of it tomorrow. I will also be upgrading their holding space to a 20gallon acrylic (on top of pleco tank) next week sometime.
