As for plecos I learned quickly that i much prefer small to medium sized plecos. My buddy is housing my big monsters. Biggest i have is my 11"/12" rhino pleco which I love.

Luteus I think are overrated and expensive. My buddy has 2 golden ones and I just don't see the attraction. Lol.

I'll believe there's a better one when I see it. There is a pretty sick 700something gallon biotope on YouTube, and a handful of legendary collections I've seen while lurking foreign sites, but you're just being humble if you say yours isn't wayyyy up there. Would be sick if we could get some designer, selectively bred kid-o's on our shores.

Lutes appeal to me because of the morph, their size, and that muddied golden tone. The simplicity of the color scheme is striking, like in a minimalist painting. Its just such a stunning color. They look like mythical creatures to me. Definitely on my "eventually" list.

You have a favorite pleco?

Yes!!, my favorites for now are LDA105s... nothing comes close to how it swims.... not any other pseudo in my opinion... my friend jokes, it's a gold nugget with streamers..... haha.... also the xanthic chubbies.... i wouldn't mind having a tank with just those two species.....

As for designer polys, I have started acquiring platinums straight from Singapore.... also have several pieces I have not taken pics of yet... all designer polys..... you know the Japanese cb Dorys etc.., are no longer what they used to be....

Sorry I am talkin about non plecos here..... :0
 
The best plecos tank mate I had was a FATF, it paid the plecos no mind at all and never laid a single tooth on them. Keep up the good work Frank. Lovin the typhoon.

Yeah, this FATF has never bothered any of my plecos or vice versa. Thank you for the kind words Hung!!
