Thanks you very much. I love to learn and I love to do things 100% all out as right as can be. I never just jump in without gathering all the facts and knowldge I can. To me, thats just setting yourself up for failure and to fail here would possibly cost the life of such beautiful creatures. Point well taken on the mechanical filtration. Any suggestions or tips? Good philosophy for life and keeping rays haha. Alot of members here like to use several filter socks in the 100-200 micron range. More information on socks can be found in a thread by Dan F which I believe is titled "a filter sock thread" in the setup and filtration sub forum. Several layers of filter pads is another option, as well as pressure filters and a number of other options. Lots of choices you just need to decide what fits your setup best and what will be easiest for you to change or clean frequently.
