LOL!!

temp:70-84. weakness: metals, ammonia. diet: anything edible. tankmates:anything bigger than it's mouth. ph: 6.5-7.5, subdued lighting, and use sand, not gravel. they like to roll around in the substrate so u'll need a good filter (obviously). once in a while they will shed mucus. feed crustaceans if u want it's tail to become bright red. and of course, they'll need a big tank. and indoor inflatable pool is probably the best choice.

if he gets too big for me to handle i'll sell for sure for the fishes sake. but for now hes mines. right now im looking to buying pellets in bulk for this guy. thinking of kensfish pellets but not sure which one.

i suggest that you set up a pond rather than a tank if you want to save money. Ponds are way cheaper and larger compared to glass tanks.:)

And thats where you show that you have a SMALL RTC

BAD Advice for a fish like a RTC... or pretty much any large Catfish since their Pectoral spines could puncture the sides of a Inflatable pool... your alright as a temp situation but your better off with a Pond with a nice thick liner

sand is good for rtc or any cat, but alot to maintain as sand holds alot of nitrate/nitrite pockets that can fill your water with lots of horrible nasty stuff.

aslong as your willing to get your hand in their to move the sand around every so often then sand is ideal, i also read that you plan on selling him in e few years, am i wrong in saying why did you buy an rtc if your not ready and willing to provide for it.

the bigger the tank the better, if your gonna buy a 250G then why not do a DIY pond for MR RTC it would prob cost around the same as a huge tank if not be cheaper.

theres plenty of prime examples of DIY style ponds in the DIY section

Just build a DIY plywood tank, even if it's about 800g it will still be cheaper than a 200 I GUARANTEE it.
