I call it the damsel curse cause every local fish store recommend's damsel's as the test subject for the new tank they are really aggressive and a pain in the butt to get out but what your thinking about getting will probably be good for your setup just go slow with adding fish and live rock and test water parameter's and mix there diet and you will be on your way to a happy successful tank.

so you dont recomend the damsels? do you think I should just start adding my fish and live rock one by one, also what fish should i get first or should i try to get all of them? should i purchase my protein skimmer first or can i get the fish , my salinity is 1.023 temp is 78 degrees. i need all tthe help i can get

I would add live rock first let the tank cycle before you add anything once your reading 0 ammonia and nitrates you can add a fish damsel if you want since it will be a fowlr. the salinity is fine and so is the temp. just take your time don't rush adding fish and let the tank cycle and you'll save money time and frustration. Pateince is the best remedy for the point your at.
