New to saltwater and have some questions.

1-Okay so the 400gph wave maker is not over kill for the fish and wont hurt them right if I angel it agianst the tank wall.

the wave maker wont hurt them you could either face it against the tank wall or against some live rock just so it brakes the flow around the tank

2-So 3 fish is the max?? Is 3 nemos okay I mean 3 clownfish okay??

3 fish would be a max 3 clowns would be no in a 10g and no in most bigger tanks as if 2 of the clowns pair off the 3rd will be bullyed and generally left out you could do 2 clowns and a max of 1 other small fish like a watchman gobie or a neon gobie or anything around that size anything bigger would put a strain in the bioload

3-If its 3 fish max for a 10gal, what about inverabrates??

inverts are different they have a tiny bioload and really theirs no strict limitations in reason like adding 50+ hermits would cause fighting and mass death but as i said in reason like 4-6 hermits 2-3 snails ect you get the idea

4-If my parameters is what I stated before and in a day lower, is that a good time to add inverabrates??

i would give it atleast 2 days idealy around a week as you want them near anuff to 0 so you dont stress the inverts too much say if the amonia gets to 3-0 and if the nitrite gets to around 2-0 that would be ok

5-How delicate is water paramters for saltwater fish??

is a 10g tank water paramters are very delicate especially why its maturing like in the first 6 months once the systems stable and been running for around a year or more they bacome less stable as long as you keep up with maintance and dont leglect them

6-do I have to accumalate everything I put in the tank via drip system??

via drip system im in the uk so we call things by different names but heres how to aclimatise

2-How long should I keep my lights on and even tho I dont have nothing in their,do I have to have the lights on??

3- Is it okay to feed my marine fish with my freshwater food??

haha i get you you mean drop accumulate haha i thought you ment somthing else sorry yes you dont want to add everything at once like add the inverts first, then the fish i would add the pair of clowns then wait 2 weeks check the water if everythings good add the 3rd and last fish you dont want anything to big so something like a small gobie or a blennie then wait another 1-2 weeks check water again if everythings good add the corals

the lights should be on for about 7-9 hours a day you dont need them on if theirs nothing in their but i would keep them on as nusual as you will get better algae growth on the live rock and tank quicker making it look more salty quicker also you can have a browse of the live rock and search for hitchers

no way is it ok to feed your marine fish freshwater flakes as naturaly marine fish have a different balanced diet than freshwater so where the freshwater one will be made of things like freshwater fish, shrimp, blood worms, vegys ect and the saltwater one will be made of things like marine shrimps, fish, brine shrimp sea weed ect

idealy you want to be feeding your fish twice weekly with live or frozen brine shrimp and marine flake to make up the rest of their balanced diet

what do you mean by jugs i would get one of these

they hold around 40 litres so i would buy one of these and do 10% weekly so it would last for around a month but generally saltwater doesnt go off but i would make shore the container its being kept in is air tight so it doesnt avaporate leaving to much salt in the water

Okay went to the store today and they told me that my parameters are perfect and that I could add invertabrates and maybe a hardy fish. Should I go ahead tomorow and get my some snails and crabs??

So I can leave salt water in a jug and nothing would be wrong with it??

And also what is a good ration for hemit crabs, sand snails, and turbo or that other smaller snail??

Also for inverts, useing the drip method, how long should I do it for?? Also what about for the fish??

if everythings good yes go ahead and get some inverts its always better to add some inverts before the fish as their like your test crew by adding them first you can check the water a few days after and check for an amonia spike which is possible in a new tank

so i would add the inverts give it 2 days check the water agen if everythings good get a hardy fish i recomend the clowns at this point it would be better to add a pair insted of getting one then another as they thrive much better in pairs

as long as the jugs got a lid that wont allow water to escape then your fine but if water avaporates the salt doesnt and you would be left with too much salt in the water
ratio for inverts well something like this would be good
3-4 hermits (theirs diff types choose the ones that apeal to you)
2 sand snails
1 turbo
1 star fish

or

3-4 hermits
1 sand snail
2 turbos
1 star fish
then you could add the urchin in a few weeks after the systems matured a little

but it may be better trying different methodes especially with the corals and inverts

i find the bag and cup methode is the best for inverts and corals and can even be less stress full for fish i never drip accumalate any of my fish i use this methode

-1 float the bag on top of the aquarium for 15 mins
-2 open the bag and add around half a cup of water
-3 make a lip by rolling the bags sides down so it floats ontop of the water like a life ring
-4 leave for another 15 mins then add another half a cup of water then release the animals into the tank

this is how i do it any way it takes much less time and less stress on the fish as they can die with out oxygen and water movement
