hi new to snakehead keeping. my friend gave me a small snake head for my birthday but I dont know how to reconise its breed and its reqirement. would help alot if anyone can help me indentify its breed thanks

I see that for the input ,, just some added info for more keeper to help me identify it as orange and blue marking on its body , and the lower fin it actually shades of dull and brilliant blue .thanks
 
Looking at that again it could actually be a channa bleheri which is more likely as they tend to have more orange and blue colourings. If so they are a sub tropical dwarf species of snakehead. Plenty of info on google for these guys as well

Here is mine for comparison

Sub tropical, gets aggressive, lovely fish to own, gets about a foot long I think. When they get their colours, they are stunning
