I really wouldn't... how big are your cat's currently? They will either eat him or be attacked...plus they are quite timid with tankmates so you'll get better colours and behavior if he's on his own... mine is currently with a plec, has been for two weeks, it is really stressful imo, because I'm worried about him eating the plec and hurting himself... species only really is the best way to go

Here is mine for comparison

Sub tropical, gets aggressive, lovely fish to own, gets about a foot long I think. When they get their colours, they are stunning

I see my cats are about a inch small then the snakehead

Could work for a month or 2 but red tails are one of the fastest growing fish I have owned. I had a 3" red tail eat a 5" dragon goby lol

Thanks wish I had him as a pair - think he would have been good to breed...

To the op, at that size, it's really not advisable imo... the sh could shred the cats fins, and the cats could attempt to eat the sh and then choke...

Hi i have just bought 2 days ago, 2 Channa Assam Blue snakeheads they are around 5cm. any advise on if they are a pair or sexing them.. Thanks
