i would look into scobia and hystrix rays for your tank... they are easy to get out of europe and get about the size you are lookin to have.... the discus could be 2-3" considering the rays will be pups... and as long as the rays are fed they usually wont attack other fish :)

Thanks for great info!
Scobina must have been the one that I saw in some forum, they seem great in size etc.

I would love to have a ray that grows up to 36", but hey, ask the Mrs :hitting:

How much do you think I can get a Scobina for, approx?
Are they bred a lot in Europe?

Ok, that sounds good.
Would feel better to have a captive-bred specimen, in my world that would minimize the risk with parasites etc?
Also, the fish will hopefully be so stressed from the transport?

Do you think that it is easy to order one male and one female, or shall one put his faith to higher powers with this?
I know it is easy to tell what sex the rays are, but is it usually easy when you order rays to get it correct?

i would definately recomend a motoro if this is your first time keeping rays, they are a smaller species, and beautiful.
LOL, yea theyre pretty small...if you compare it with a freaking CHINA RAY

Do we talk about a ray for a gazillion dollars a piece? :)
I do work in an aquarium fish store, so the price can be a little better than normal I hope ;)

about 250 euro a piece is what i was told from a friend over there.... i told him to contact you when he gets some time...
