I know there are thousands of other threads on this subject, which is the problem. There's just too much to go through, so I'll keep this simple.
What are the 2 or 3 smallest stingrays? (To start with, small and cheap, and easy)
Do they eat sinking pellets, or is a meaty diet required for long-term keeping?
Can they be kept at "normal" tank parameters? The usual - as opposed to low, or high pH. In other words - can they be added to an already-established tank without adjusting anything?
How long do they live?
Would one be a good tankmate for longnose gars, and a clown knife? There is also a spotted bullhead in the tank, but he is probably too boisterous and will be moved.
How sensitive are they to water changes, and how "pristine" do they need their water? Are they forgiving?
Thanks in advance! You will help me determine whether or not I want to try my first stingray.
