New to sumps, giving it a try

For a first time build, I suggest you keep your sump simple.

Cheap, simple.
Spend your time on your overflow and your money on a good pump.
After you have got your feet wet, just an expression...:D
You can design a multi-compartmented sump if you feel the need.
 
Hmm even more simple, cheaper and still effective... nice. Looks like I have a few choices to pick from... maybe my own blend of all of the above. The cabinet space above the sump wouldn't really allow the height of the bucket but I think I can make a few twists to it and make it work very nicely..thanks again everyone
