Nice mixture of fish... im glad to see that im not the only one who mixes CA/SA cichlids With African cichlids together .
Ahhh yes, that black shark is a beautiful fish. A simple photograph could never do him justice. I had to drive over an hour to get him and he was worth every mile12 Volt Man;1057286; said:

Definantly not, american and africans personality wise can definantly be compatable, and the whole PH thing some of the purists get hung up on is way overblown. They act like you are throwing a saltwater fish into freshwater or something. Ive never in my life lost a fish or had one contract a sickness due to the PH being different from what the "by the book" fish hobbyists say it should be.

Not sure why so many people feel the mixing of African and new world cichlids is wrong. Yet thry'll throw barbs, tetras, loaches and livebearers together and tell ya thats a great combo.
