New to the forum and New to Fish Keeping

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well wenrt to Blue Sierra (LFS) yesterday and they told me to use this product called Tropical Science Nitromax. So that is what I am using started it last night. I also tested my water and tap water and everything is good all 0ppm the only thing is the pH is high.

Well I finally got some fish and plants, driftwood and rocks. I went with 2 Bala Sharks, 2 Dwarf Goumaris and 6 Cardinal Tetras but one died awwww. It was my fault didn't see the little guy got stuck in the bag in one corner. He was alive for awhile but was having problems and he finally died. I feel bad my first fish death. The Bala Sharks are nothing but big babies they were hiding in the back of the tank for awhile. My one Dwarf Goumari has definitely found his spot and the little one just goes around picking on the bigger one and even going after the sharks. The little Dwarf is full of spunk and he is such a attention hog. If there is anyone near the front of the tank he gets all excited and will follow you. I love just sitting and watching them and learning there personalities it's so much fun.

Yeah I plan on it just didn't want to push with the tank cycling. I would love to have a giant school of them like 15-20

those balas will get bigger. just hope ya know.
when the tank aets up a little more i would think about adding come opanda corys or something and maybe a few hachet fish or rasboras.

just make sure u think about the balas future, as these do get large, about a foot if i remember correctly.
