Hi guys, i am new to forum and to snakeheads
i am looking into fish tanks and all the things needed for the fish
i am wondering if a 75g or 90g tank will be ok for micropelts or Argus?
how fast do they grow?

No and no eventually they will grow them out, if youre getting small youngsters it will work for a short time.
 
hi there and welcome to the forum , but i am sad to say i have some bad news for you

90g is totally unsuitable for either of the aboove fish and a single fish would easy outgrow a 90g in 6 months to a year , they grow fast

there are now well over 35 diferant species of snakehead , many that are suitable to your proposed tanks , unless you have a bare minimun of a 9 x 3 x 2 you really need to forget about them two species and also marulia

thats sad, how about Channa maculata? i really like the colour and the pattern..or what do you suggest for starter? i dont want a small one..
are they all aggresive? or some are more peaceful..lol...
all i know is Micropelts and marulia are the more agreesive ones..
 
maculata are beautiful. if you get one please share photos!

yep...i think 80-90 g would be fine for maculata...
but if u c it that way,even a 50 would be fine...they wont rele die of stress...
but the bigger the tank is the more happy/healthy/colourfull ur fish is

is it hard to get maculata ?? is it rare?
