40 rbp are going to need a minimum of a 450+gal tank and when adults even bigger, talking 700-800gal. Obviously the herd will thin from cannibalism and such, so maybe 25-35 in the end.


Just be prepared to upgrade majorly

I find it crazy that piranha will turn on and kill their fellow tankmates. But to the op, you will need an absolutely huge tank to house all of those piranha! But it will look awesome!

Nope its true. Even more so with caribe piranhas and piyara piranhas.
