ill give ya 700 for it lol. thats a good deal. how is everything going for ya so far?

So far so good. Working on getting my covers setup. And waiting on JB Weld to bond is a waiting game. Cant ever let it be stressed too early, or its just a waste of time.

Going to retest my water tonight and repost my findings. As of my last water change, Ammonia and Nitrates went down slightly, but nothing significant.

Ill be getting longer hoses so my FX5 can create a stronger current to sweep the bottom of the tank and keep any debris moving along properly to the intake. Im still balancing it all out and getiing it as effective as possible, but its coming along nicely.

The tank didnt come with the FX5, that I added on my own.

Any amount of ammonia or nitrite is awful for fish. You need to stay on top of your water changes until you have more beneficial bacteria.

If the tank has only been going for a little over a week, I doubt its completed cycled. A lot of the bacteria most likely died when you moved the tank from your buddies and the new FX5 won't have any bacteria yet.

My tank was completely cycled when I added my two rays and it still went through a mini cycle. I was doing 75-80% water changes every day on a 450g tank with an 80g sump to keep things in check.

Ill keep up on the water changes and adding in Stability with each one. :headbang2

glad i found this. I'm bout to get a fw ray for the first time in a 125 gallon (putting the finishing touches on my 500) and learned a ton here just from whats been said before. I'm currently running a pro-clear 400 gallon wet/dry @ 1600 gallons/hr (in the 125 tank) is that good enough for rays or should i add more?
