As far as needing rounded corners , is it preferred ? Absolutely. With a white tip they aren't constant swimmers So no. A rounded tank is not necessary. Especially in a tank of this size. Honestly I could even get away with having a small blacktip for a period of time but it wouldn't be ideal. Nothing in aquariums is always a must do a certain way. There is just a lot of ways to do things that are better than others. Eventually the white tip will outgrow the tank. But it will be years down the road
