If the water parameters are in check have you noticed him getting picked on. A 2.5" aro will get be dead in no time living with cichlids.

All the fishes are 1 inch long except for the arowana which is 2.5" so no the arowana won't be dead

I think the main priority here is water quality not feeding!

yeah it could easily be killed by 1" cichlids. aros under 8" tend to be very fragile.

Oscars laying on thier side is very common. My fish themselves forage on the ground, then do a quick barrel roll. mainly my convicts and clown loaches.

I also hope you plan to add a '0' to that tank gallonage soon.

the aro is in a bad state right now
maybe swim bladder problem
check your tank's parameters
the silvers are very delicate at that size
