It is one of the headstanders, either Leporinus affinis or L. octofasciatus, both can reach 10-12" in a tank. They will eat flake and granulated foods but NEED veggie supplements, seaweed and algae wafers work but I suggest keeping a large (2g) flat style goldfish bowl to grow elodea and use that as feed. They love it. I have never kepy more than one at a time but they never bothered my other fish, they can be kept under standard tropical tank conditions. I had one go from 4" to 9" in just over 2 years.
