So last night I was moving some fish around and put my female convict cichlid (just over 2.5 inches) in with my 2 inch green terror, 2 inch red zebra mbuna, and 3.5 inch warmouth. I came down this morning and she beat up the green terror (but I think he'll make it), pretty much killed the warmouth, and the red zebra was hiding inside a cave the convict didn't fit inside. So I decided that was the final straw. She's killed 8 inch severums before as well. So she went in the 55 gallon with my male RES (about 6 inch shell length). She is very wary of the turtle, but the turtle is more interested in piece of zuchinni in there than anything else. So it looks good. I did put a little cave for the convict to hide in though, in case the turtle gets overly greedy.:naughty:

what kind of turtle is this?

So far things look pretty good. The convict follows the turtle around though and seems intent on killing it's reflection in the mirror (the turtle loves to display to the other turtle in the mirror ).

I've had cons in with my YBS and map, they totally ignored the cons.

I keep my Stinkpots and Mud Turtle with a female Con and they're totally oblivious to her, even when she steals food out of their mouths.

o ok i thot u were talking about a different turtle you put in with your RES

So far so good, except the turtle decided that the cave was in his way so he decided to destroy it! Now the convict hides under the turtle!
