New Turtle Tankmate

I think the convict is overcoming her shyness. She does not bother the turtle though. She came out this morning and was eating the turtle pellets along with the turtle. It was very amusing to see. :nilly:
 
Hello:
If turtles are well fed they'll usually leave larger fish in the tank with them alone. This would mostly apply to Red-Ears, Yellow-Bellies, Sliders, and Painteds (maybe Maps). While not always true I have succeeded in mixing them together. Mud Turtles and Musks can chase or leave them alone. They are just not as quick in the water. I find that Snappers and Softshells consider anything in the tank with them as fair game.

yeah the turtles are a hit and miss :). They will eat what they can catch hehe, but best of luck to you! i have a an exodon with my diamondback terrapin for about 6 months now, still no problems.
