I just picked up a pair of 5-6" RES for free today from I guy who was moving. I took a couple pics before I tossed them in the pond (not literally). They've got a lot of personality. One of them was chasing a comet around as soon as it righted itself from jumping in. And one of the crayfish on the bottom was looking very worried the last time I saw it.... :D

I can't believe I haven't added any turtles before now... I wish I still had my false map turtle to put in there too...

Bonus points if you can correctly identify the fish in the last picture... ;)

Florida gar? I dont know. I didnt even see it in the video. but that was funny watching him chase the gold fish around.

Nah, no Florida gar in the pond. Its a shortnose. 3 shortnose gar and 1 spotted gar in the pond. The 2 Florida gar are still in an aquarium in the house...

I can't believe the first thing he did was start chasing a feeder comet. He kept it up for like 15 minutes too. :screwy:

Then he realized how big the pond was, and actually started exploring it...

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll say something worth sig'ing soon enough... :D

And the turtles were pretty much ignoring the gar. If anything, the gar were showing a slightly unhealthy interest in the turtles...

The turtles were really interested in the comets though. But if anything happens between the gar and the turts, the turts will get brought into a temp tank inside.
