Has anyone on here used Tahitian Moon sand by CaribSea ?

I know everyone likes the Estes ultra Black, but I have 7 bags if the Tahitian moon sand. I think that this is probably the same stuff just packaged by different companies. I just want to be sure that this will not make any future rays  explode or something.

i talk to the guy who feeds/tends to the ray tank at the Aquarium Adventure here, which has two maybe 12" motoro and leo rays. i know he used the tahitian moon sand for that tank, and those rays have been perfectly fine for the last 4 years i been going there. :)

I've heard of good experiences and bad experiences. I know someone who keeps a breeding pair of Retics on the stuff without problems. I think it all depends on the brand and batch. I've noticed difference in consistencies with natural sands (unlike the coated uniform Estes).

its usually fine.... but i have felt it very coarse and sharp and other rimes very fine... kind of a toss up with it...

Lots of people use that. A little spendy but it looks nice.
You can also check out 3M ColorQuartz. I think it's cheaper if you can find it in your area.

If not this i want to do black sand too. Which one to use?

Where is the best $$ online store for Estes?
