New type of black sand?

I just did a special order with Pet Supplies+ for Estes Black Marine Reef.
I have 30 bags in their way to the store. It sounds like a lot but they only offer it in 5# bags. $119 for 150#. Not as bad as the $1/lb I was expecting to pay. I will be able to return the Tahitian Moon special order sand to my local PetSmart (at least it was free shipping).

i have 3m color quartz and they are doing great

I looked and called the reps listed on 3m site but they are all over a 2.5 hr drive.
