Yes he looks awesome bro!!! I too had him over light colored substrate, imo their colors would stand out better with a darker substrate, but not that he isn't colored up already I am really happy they made it safely especially with the weather as cold as it is up here. Great pics, she will spawn for you very soon bro, I'd say within the next week or two.

Originally I planned to have a brown/gray natural river substrate like the one Fishman09 uses in his community tank, I asked him about it and bought the same brand (Quikrete All-Purpose Sand in a clear bag) but mine was white for whatever reason. I might mix it with another kind of darker sand/river rocks to make them stand out better, but I will wait a few weeks till they are comfortable around me/start eating so they don't get too stressed.

Hopefully they do spawn soon, that should be fun to watch.
