It's been a week(6 days to be exact) since I had my FH, I can see changes already in them. You should see some differences in them after a week on NLS. This is the same fish from the "Challenge" thread. The fish is still the same size, just a bit fatter and sorry very poor quality pics but heck, better than no pics right? :D

Pic 1(top left) is on 6/25/10. The rest of the pic is today 7/1/10.

You just feed NLS or with mixed diet?
Also which NLS formula?
& how big is your fh now?

They are probably about 2" right now, just straight up NLS. The all purpose formula 1mm sinking pellets.

Hi, I'm new to FH, that looks nice. Tx sharing.

Welcome to FH & hybrids!!! Start investing and clearing out spaces because you'll need them down the road in the hobby of FH!!!

Some of my frys are pretty stubborn when I feed them NLS pellets.. They chew the pellets but spit them out & ignore them..
Don't have problems with other pellets though..

Maybe the garlic added version might get them to take it?

You mean the TherA formula? They do the same with those too, chew, spit & ignore.. But I still feed them NLS regardless whether they eat or not..
But did you notice mushy slimy stuff in the water after feeding NLS? Looks like algae but are actually leftover NLS pellets..

Yes they do create some mushy slimy stuff on top of the surface from what I see. But keep your water flowing and add in a power head to circulate the tank. This way those slime can be broken apart and be filtered out. This is how my water stays the cleanest.
