The first one is a tiger.

The second is commonly called a red tiger.

they look completely different to each other even in body shape which is why i thought they may be 2 different types

so by 'red' tiger, do you mean red x tiger or what??

I'm not sure about genetics but supposedly that is how they come about. Body shape isn't a factor, they are the same species. Astronotus ocellatus. There are 2 or 3 other species of oscar, but those for sure aren't them.

they are both tigers, just one has more orange than other.
