The first one is a tiger.

The second is commonly called a red tiger.

they look completely different to each other even in body shape which is why i thought they may be 2 different types

I'm not sure about genetics but supposedly that is how they come about. Body shape isn't a factor, they are the same species. Astronotus ocellatus. There are 2 or 3 other species of oscar, but those for sure aren't them.

looks like a mix between a red and a tiger cross breeding can water out the true breeds correct me if im wrong could just be a tiger with thick stripe patterns

they are both tigers, just one has more orange than other.
