I have always regretted giving mine up. He was a real stunner but was always hiding in a cave and was very skiddish. Mine was not aggressive at all.

Thanks for the props MFK's. Mine is very mild mannered and gets along with its tank mates. I can actually hand feed him. I have found with this genus and other CA's that if you stock your tank with young fish and raise them together, the chances of having a peaceful tank is likely. In my 8 foot tank I keep two zonatus with a few other cichlids and have had no problems. I started that tank about two years ago, fully stocked with juvenile fish. No aggression issues at all.
